Check your mail box! My local Target (University Square Target) recently opened up an expanded produce section and to get people in the store they sent out some awesome coupons which are valid through 4/20/13.
The three best coupons I found were:
- A coupon for a FREE 1-doz. Grade A large eggs on the cover of the mailer!!! How easy is that to get a free dozen eggs?
- $1 off $1 or more Fruits, and
- $1 off $1 or more of veggies.
So of course I ran out to Target this morning to see what they have and although it is potentially free, their prices and selection are not that great! (i.e., they don't compete with Marc's and Aldi's on price)
Their produce prices are per item not per pound, so it is easy to calculate what you will be spending (but also much more expensive).
Here are your best options:
FOR Veggies there is:
- Green Onions for $1.19 so after coupon is $.19
- Celery for $1.89 so after coupon $.89
- Baby carrots for $1.69 so after coupon $.69
- Bag of Spinach $1.99 so after coupon $.99
- There are potatoes for $.35- $.99 so you can get a few and use your $1 off coupon
- There are onions and tomatoes for $.99 each so its like bogo free after coupon
That isn't that bad but as you see the prices are not all that great...
FOR Fruits there are:
- There are Mangos for $1.49 each so $.49 after coupon
- Apples, Oranges and Pears for $.69 - $.79 so if you buy two you can use your $1 off coupon
- There are Kiwis for $.59 each so two for $.09 each after coupon
- There are Bananas for $.24 each so if you buy a few you can use your coupon
But the best part is you can get your FREE dozen eggs no problem. And you can always use the other coupons that came in the mailer for other items you are purchasing!
