UPDATE: Produce Picks of the week 10/31/12- 11/6/12

UPDATE: My bad, I was looking at the "wrong location ad" when I posted this yesterday. All the same items are on sale but at slightly different prices. Please look it over. I apologize for the confusion.

- Baby Carrots 16oz Bag - $.49 - awesome price!
- Little Salad Bar - Garden Salad 12oz bag - $.49 - great price!
- Yukon Gold Potatoes 5lb. bag $1.49 -OK Price!
- Multi- Colored-Peppers 14oz. package $1.49 - not such a great price for Aldi!
- Blackberries 6oz. package - $.99 awesome price! I didn't think it was blackberries season... It didn't go as low as $.99 even in the summer. I am so excited!
- Bananas $.39 per lb. - It goes as low as $.29 per lb at times. But it is an ok sale if you are out there already!

This is the ad of the Cleveland, Ohio area Aldi. Aldi's produce prices are regional. The actual items they put on sale are usually the same or similar in most of their stores across the country but the price may vary depending on the location. Check your area by changing your location and let us know what other great deals there are out there at Aldi this week where you live!

A few things to remember about Aldi:
First of all Aldi is an awesome store. Lots of their items are their own brand allowing them to keep the prices low and passing the savings on to us! Surprisingly, there are many Kosher items around the store. Look for the kosher sign, sometimes the kosher sign is taken off an item for some reason and sometime a kosher sign is put on an item that didn't have it before. The store is set up in a way that most items are neatly displayed in their cases rather then on fancy shelving, again to keep cost down and pass the savings onto us!
There are a few other things they do to keep cost down that might effect your shopping experience more:
- If you think you need a cart for your shop - You would need to RENT your cart for a quarter and when you return it, you get your quarter back. (This actually keeps the store clean and neat and gives that responsibility to it's shoppers.)
- They do not give out bags for your groceries. You are allowed to take cartons that are around the store and by the check out if you would like (like big box stores Costco/ Sam's Club) or bring in your own reusable bag. But for your convenience, they do sell plastic and paper bags.
- They do not accept Credit Cards. :( This is a sad one but you can use your debit card or pay with cash.
- Now, I would say their customer service is superb. They are really looking out for the customer and they try their best to keep prices low and have awesome sales. One of their policies that I make use out of once in a while is:
"For product refunds and replacements under our Double Guarantee: Return the package with your receipt, and any unused product to your local ALDI Store Manager. He/She will issue a refund and replacement."
Meaning, If you are not completely satisfied with the item (could be on produce too, like your avocados weren't nice or your tomatoes were mealy) you can bring it back, 1. get a replacement 2. ALSO get your money back!!!! Sometimes I don't have my receipt with me and they will let me do an even exchange on that item. The best part is they don't ask you a lot of questions and let you do it without feeling bad.
If you would like to check out their other customer service policies check it out here.
In other words, Aldi is an awesome store. Enjoy shopping!
