Aldi Picks of the Week 10/3 - 10/9

Pumpkins - $2.99 each - I am pretty sure this is a great price for a whole pumpkin. I have never purchased a whole pumpkin before so I wouldn't know exactly. If anyone has a good suggestion of what to make with a whole pumpkin, this week might be my first time... comment if you have a suggestion.
Yellow Squash or Zucchini - $.99 per 20 oz pkg. This usually comes pre-packaged with 2 Zucchinis and 1 Yellow Squash in the center. $.99 is a good price being that it is more than a pound of squash but its not the lowest they have gone.
Sweet Potatoes - $.49 per lb. - Sold in 3-lb. bags for $1.47. This is an awesome price!
Bagged Apples (All Varieties) - $2.49 per 3lb. bag which comes out to $.83lb. It is apple season :)!  Apples should go on sale everywhere this season. Starting tomorrow Giant Eagle will have their Apples priced at $.99lb, and around that price all over town. I still think $.83 per lb at Aldi is wonderful!
Caramel Apples - $.99 per 3-pack. I am not sure why this landed on the produce picks of the week. This is a very good price but I am not sure of the kosher status of this item.
Pears - $.69 per lb. - sold in 2-lb. bags for $1.38 Great Price! The last time these went on sale - was for $.99 per 2-lb bag. The pears were delicious. We couldn't get enough of them. I am so happy they are on sale again (even though they are priced as low as they were last time.)

This is the ad of the Cleveland, Ohio area Aldi. Aldi's produce prices are very local. The actual items they put on sale are usually the same or similar in most of their stores but the price may vary depending on the location. I just checked the prices in the NY area and Baltimore area, the first two items are different (celery and carrots - with different prices in both places) but the rest are the same with different prices. Check your area buy changing your location and let us know what other great deals there are out there at Aldi this week where you live!
